Students design, build and test their robotic vehicle using princples developed in Alternative Energy and Robotics. Using principles found in the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum, Principles of Engineering (POE), Digital Electronics (DE), and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) student designed thier robots from scratch. Students created their design using AutoDesk Inventor (a 3D cad package), printed parts from a 3D printer, and machined components using a CNC Milling machine. Robot control is provided by a MicroChip microcontroller (PIC processor) programmed in assembler. |
