(1) Robofest 2006 Informational Meetings Will Be Held Next Week

 

We have scheduled the Robofest 2006 Informational Meetings for new teams, returning teams, and site Hosts.Robofest will offer the same Informational Meeting at three different times; one of the meetings is a live webcast.The 2006 Game Competition Rules will be announced during these meetings.

 

The Information Meetings will take place as follows:

 

        Wednesday, December 14, 2005, 4:30 � 5:45 p.m. Informational Meeting at LTU, Science Building Room S321

        Friday, December 16, 2005, 12:00 noon1:00 p.m., Live Webcast Informational meeting (You may participate via the live webcast or attend the meeting in person at LTU Room T221)

        Saturday, December 17, 2005, 10:00 � 11:30 a.m. Informational Meeting at LTU, Science Building Room S321

 

To participate in the live webcast on December 17, you must register.Please contact Lori Birman at [email protected] to make a reservation and receive the webcast log-in information.(You do not need to register to attend the December 14, 16, or 17 meeting at LTU.)

 

(2) Additional Robofest Contest Sites Confirmed for 2006

 

The following new sites have been confirmed as 2006 Contest Sites:

 

- Ann Arbor Trail Magnet School, Detroit, MI, April 29

- RoboTech Center, Nashua, NH, May 7 (date change)

- Video Submission Site

 

If you or someone you know would be interested in hosting, please have them contact Lori Birman [email protected] for information.Being a Robofest Contest Site provides great visibility for the hosting organization.

 

(3) LEGO robotics course in MET program at LTU

 

Lawrence Technological University is offering a new robotics course (3 credit hours) in Spring 2006 as a part of the Masters of Educational Technology program. If you are interested in this course focusing on LEGO RCX code and RoboLab programming languages, please contact [email protected] . For class schedule, go to

(4) FLL Michigan State Tournament

 

The FLL (FIRST LEGO League) Michigan State Tournament will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2005 from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm at the Rock Financial Showplace Hall B in Novi, Michigan. For more info, please go to:
