(1) RoboParade 2009 on Thu, Nov. 19
Robofest veteran and rookie teams in Michigan are invited to join the 4th annual Thanksgiving RoboParade on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Lawrence Tech in Michigan, 6pm~8:30pm. The parade is an excellent opportunity for beginners to learn robotics while having fun. For additional details about the RoboParade including previous videos on YouTube, please visit the Robofest home page at www.robofest.net.
There will be a technical workshop for the **registered teams only** on Oct. 17, from 1~4pm at Lawrence Tech.
(2) Free Vision Centric L2Bot Workshop
Sat. Nov. 7, 2009, 10am~4pm at Lawrence Tech in Michigan
Sponsored by DENSO (densocorp-na.com), LTU Autonomous Robotics Institute will offer a free vision centric L2Bot programming workshop for high school students. You�ll explore introductory concepts in autonomous robotics navigation, image processing, and computer vision while learning the basics of object-orientated Java programming. Some knowledge of a programming language is helpful, but not required. After the workshop, you'll have chance to participate in the vision centric L2Bot Challenge in December 2009 and spring 2010. (3) Introduction to Robofest � a MDSTA Fall Conference session
There will be a session to introduce Robofest during the MDSTA (Metro Detroit Science Teachers Association) Fall conference on Saturday, October 24th, 2009 at Lawrence Tech.

(4) Robofest Seeking Site Hosts for 2010 Competition Season
Robofest is currently seeking site hosts for the 2010 Competition Season. Qualifying Competition Sites are needed in Feb ~ April of 2010. Top teams from each site will qualify to move on to compete at the World Robofest Championships, which will be held on the campus of LTU on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Interested individuals, organizations, or schools should contact Robofest coordinator Wendy MacLennan at [email protected] or check out www.robofest.net and click on *For Site Hosts* link. We are accepting applications until November. Early respondents that become Official Site Hosts will be appearing on the promotional poster.
(5) Robofest is Seeking Sponsors for 2010 Competition
In an effort to keep Robofest an affordable yet highly educational competition for everyone, we are seeking sponsors for the 2010 season.
