(1) 2012 Team Registration is Still Open

Registration is still open for some sites. Please register your teams as soon as possible. The deadline for registration is three weeks before the competition date, so be sure to register before then. You can view a list of all the sites and their competitions dates by using the following link: http://www.robofest.net/rms/SharedPagesServlet?cmd=getSitesTable

 

(2) Wanted: Volunteers

Robofest qualifying competitions are in need of volunteers to staff their events. To sign up online, go to http://robofest.net/rms/appPages/volunteerPages/YearLocationLookup.jsp

 

You will see a list of sites with dates. Select a site, then click on New Volunteer Registration link. Thank you in advance for supporting Robofest!

 

(3) Judging Guidelines and Resources

Judging guidelines and resources are posted on Robofest 2012 page directly at http://www.robofest.net/12.htm . Volunteer Judges as well as Coaches are strongly encouraged to read the guidelines, check out Judging forms, and watch judge Training animation videos.

(8) NDIA-MI Scholarship

The National Defense Industrial Association - Michigan Chapter, a Robofest Gold sponsor, is again providing scholarships for students pursuing B.S. or M.S. degrees in STEM-related fields.  Last year NDIA-MI awarded eight students scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $2,500. The awards went to four high school seniors entering college and four students already in college. Applications are due by April 17th and can be submitted on-line with a link to STEM found at: www.ndia-mich.org.

Advanced NXT Robotics (An Excellent Tool to Teach Engineering Robotics), Thursday, March 15, 8:30am~2:30pm. One year minimum MINDSTORMS experience required.

If you would like to become involved in Robofest next year, please come to an informational meeting which is being held during our Michigan Regional Championship on Saturday, April 14, 2012, from 10:30-11:20 A.M. in the Don Ridler Field House on the Lawrence Tech University campus. There is no charge to attend, but you must RSVP to [email protected].
