Dear Robotics Friends & Family: RoboFest 2002 Challenges (draft) are now posted on the web at www.robofest.net. This year's competition will simulate the situation in which robots will rescue people trapped in a burning building. Informational meetings for coaches and parents will be held on Sat. Feb. 9, 11:00am-12:30pm and another session at 3:00pm at Lawrence Tech University, Science building, Room S321. You can find an area map to get to LTU at http://www.ltu.edu/campus_maps/dir_map.html No. 4 is the Science building in the following map: http://www.ltu.edu/campus_maps/main_map.html After the meetings, we are planning to announce the official rules on Feb. 16 and registration will begin on the web at www.robofest.net from that day tentatively.
