Teams of up to 5 students create and program a (bio) medical robotics/device projects using intelligent & interactive robotics. This competition also promotes an entrepreneurial mindset. Robots must have computational components programmed by participants and must employ sensors and/or actuators.

RoboMed will be hosted around the world and during the Robofest World Championship on May 15-17, 2025. Winners of the Sr. RoboMed Division at the World Championship will receive an LTU Scholarship certificate.

Associate professor and Chair in the biomedical engineering department at Lawrence Technological University. Main research interests are in materials processing, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) for biomedical applications and tissue engineering. Robofest Coach and Judge since 2016. |
| Choongbae Park | Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at LTU. Received Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania. Robofest Coach and Judge since 2023. |
| Hao Jiang | Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at LTU. B.S. degree in Electronics from Peking University (Beijing, China), M.E.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Western University (London, Ontario, Canada). Robofest Judge since 2020. |
| Aleksandra Kuzmanov | Assistant Professor in the dept of natural sciences. She earned an MD degree at the University of Belgrade School of Medicine. After practicing medicine for three years, Dr. Kuzmanov received a master's degree in Human Nutrition in 2009 and a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences in 2014 from the University of Wyoming. |
| Andrew Ulaszek | Project Engineer for the Biomedical Engineering department at LTU. Received a B.S. degree in biomedical engineering from LTU while working in the department's 3D print lab. Main interests include 3D printing and exploring new additive manufacturing methods and techniques. |
