Little Robots, Big Missions
Robofest, hosted by Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI, is a festival of competitions and events with autonomous robots encouraging students to have fun while learning STEAM and Computer Science principles.
Students can design, construct, and program the robots using any robotics kit and programming language.

UMC Scholarship Competition at LTU
Robofest is hosting our second annual Unknown Mission Scholarship Challenge this fall for High School students to compete to win up to a $17,000 Annual LTU Scholarship.
Sat, Nov 2, 2023, 1:00 pm ~ 5:00 pm
Individual students will be challenged to build and program a robot kit to solve a task in a limited amount of time. The registration fee is $25. Review the 2024 UMC Scholarship Rules on the UMC page
State of MI 99h Grant Team Pre-Registration is Open!
Michigan coaches interested in applying for the State of Michigan 99h Robotics Grant must have their team(s) pre-registered and the MDE application submitted in NexSys through their district by noon on December 1, 2024.
Fall RoboParade at MISD
Robofest is hosting a Fall-themed RoboParade at the Macomb Intermediate School District, 44001 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., MI

Since 1999, over 36,800 students have competed in Robofest, including teams from 18 United States and the countries of Algeria, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, England, France, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Macau, Malawi, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE and Uzbekistan.
Competition Categories
Student teams with up to 5 members each can participate in a variety of events.
Teams compete in Junior (grades 5-8), and Senior (grades 9-12) Divisions.
RoboParade (Expanded Junior Division) includes 4th grade.
Unique missions using fully autonomous robots. Robofest Game puts math skills to the test!
Be the first robot to push a bottle off the table OR be the last robot remaining on the table. Great for beginners to autonomous robotics.
Unknown Mission Challenge:
Mission tasks are totally unknown until the day of competition
Advanced category for high school students.
Robotic music, dance, visual arts and story-telling projects and interactive kinetic sculptures.
A parade of autonomous robotic self-driving floats. Great for beginners to autonomous robotics.
