Regional Video Submission Rules (For Non Michigan Teams; Not for Asia Pacific Region)
To relieve some of the burden on teams in preparing materials for Regional Video Submissions, and to expedite the process, we have revised our policy as outlined below:
If your team is advanced from a qualifier, please check if your team is listed here. Contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
Junior and Senior Game teams who do exceptionally well during qualifying rounds may bypass Regional Videos and move directly into Worlds. Qualifications: 1st place teams with an individual round score of 30 or higher. To confirm the video submission waiver, please contact CJ at [email protected]
The Table Layout and Unknown Problem for Game teams will remain the same as they experienced at their local qualifier. Teams who competed earlier in the season will have an advantage, but this will be taken into account during judging. Copies of the layouts may be obtained from local site hosts, or from [email protected]
All Exhibition and RoboFashion teams who compete at a qualifier are invited to submit videos to Regional Videos. Teams who did not show up at their qualifier must compete in Video Submissions at the qualifier level.
All teams advancing to Regional Videos are not required to send a Video Submission form, nor do they have to turn in new media consent forms, as long as they have previously turned these in at their local qualifier.
The preferred method of submission is via an upload to a video site, such as School Tube, with a link sent to [email protected]. Also it is requested to post the link on your Robofest team webpage. This can be done by logging on Coach account/Edit Team Info. Your email should contain your team ID number, team name and the site you competed at for your qualifier. The deadline remains April 17th for all Regional Videos to be emailed, or postmarked if sent via regular mail.
All teams must compete in person at Worlds - there will be no video submission entries allowed. Exhibition teams may choose to submit a video in advance to aid in judging, but they must be present to compete.
