Robofest Competition Information

• Robofest recognizes students' achievements in science and engineering through robotics. The Robofest program is extremely important in keeping our children interested in math, sciences, and engineering.
• Robofest helps to build our future technical work force by keeping children interested in science and engineering technology.
• Robofest provides an environment for students to design, construct and program robots while learning problem-solving techniques, mathematics, logic, creativity, physics, electronics, mechanics, teamwork, computers and computer programming.
• Robofest is different from other robotics competitions and has several unique features such as the requirement that all robots be fully autonomous, which means learning computer technologies is highly emphasized.
• Robofest is the world's first autonomous robotics contest for grade students in which the dimensions of the playing field are unknown and change during competition. Part of the competition task is also unknown until the day of competition. This makes for a very exciting and challenging event.
• Robofest student teams participate in two playful ways: competition and exhibition. The competition challenges a team of students to accomplish robotics missions, which promote cooperation between team members while programming two autonomous robots. The exhibition allows each team complete freedom to show off their creative autonomous robotics projects. Robofest does not limit full student creativity and offers a stage for exhibitions for any creative robotics project.
