Robofest 2005 Warm-up Competition
Unlike other robotics competitions, Robofest competition requires to construct and program two autonomous
robots that will work together to solve missions on a playing field that can
change during the competition. This year’s challenge is called
"RoboRelay." In the relay, two robots must pass a ball over a gap as
well as several other complex objectives, which must use feedback loop control,
not just dead-reckoning.
Prior to the qualifying regional competitions, Lawrence Technological
University hosts a Warm-up competition
on Saturday, March 19, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. -
2:30 p.m. It is a great opportunity for new teams, future
teams, regional site hosts, volunteers, and new judges to see how the Robofest competition works.
If you are
interested in volunteering for the warm-up event, please go to http://admin.robofest.org/index.jsp?siteID=33 to sign up
online. There are various positions available.
