Without the dedicated work of volunteers, Robofest would not have been possible. LTU robotics lab is inviting all the event volunteers who helped with Robofest to a party on Sat., Dec. 21 from 5:00pm till 9:00pm at the President’s Conference Center at LTU. The center is No. 8 building in the map on the web at: www.ltu.edu/campus_maps/main_map.html If you are coming, please sign up as a guest on the web at http://mcs.ltu.edu/volunteer/ReventSelect.jsp You are welcome to bring a guest. The guest also needs to sign up. Please register early, since the seating is limited. This dinner party is sponsored by Math and Computer Science Department and there will be a karaoke contest! (2) Robofest 2003 Plan (Same as the schedule announced in November) Robofest 2003 will be held on Sat. April 26, 2003 Tentative schedule is Jan. 18 - Draft rules will be announced on the web Feb. 8 - Informational Meeting at LTU Feb. 22 - Official Rules will be announced and registration begins on the web (First come first serve basis - Max. 70 teams) Mar. 8 - 2nd Informational Meeting Apr. 26 - Robofest 2003. Doors open at 8:30am. (3) Don Wilcher, local engineer who published a book, "Lego Mindstorms Interfacing", set up a website devoted to families and sci-tech using Lego Mindsctoms. The site has project of the month, advanced techniques, and science gallery. You have access to a public bulletin board to get information regarding robotics events and/or exchange ideas between users. You may post your press release, essay, or call for discussion related to robotics and education on the forum site.
