(1) Laptop Robot
with Java Summer Camp for High School Students
Lawrence Tech University College of Science is proud to announce hands-on laptop robotics class for 9th –12th grade students, perhaps the first in the world for high school students, from Monday, June 28 – Friday, July 2, 2004.
Students will first build their
own laptop robots; then they will learn basic robotics concepts as well as
computer vision technologies while learning object-oriented Java programming
language. After the class, they will take the robot with a camera home. They
will be able to participate in robot competitions such as Robofest Laptop Robot
Competition in 2005 at Lawrence Tech.

Robofest 2004 follow-up
meeting report
Robofest follow-up meeting was held at Cranbrook Institute of Science on Sat. May 29. Robofest DVDs were presented and 2005 plans were discussed.
