(1) Robofest 2005 official rules are posted
As planned, final official rules
have been posted on the web at www.robofest.net
today. Rule changes made after the December informational meetings are
formatted in blue color in the files. There is a link called “download all”
to download all the necessary files (except the streaming videos)
(2) Robofest 2005 Regional Sites
As of today, we have 13 Robofest
2005 regional sites. For more details, please click on http://www.robofest.net/2005/poster05txt.pdf.
Please note that there will be no
Lawrence Tech regional site. LTU is only for the world final contest.
(3) Robofest Coach and Team Registration
We planed to start Robofest registration tentatively on Jan. 12, 2005. However, sorry, we are still debugging the system. We do not know exactly when it will be completed, but it will be before Jan 19. We will let you know the exact date and time via this mailing list. Please stay tuned.
(4) Teleconferencing
at ACC, WCC, and LTU on Jan 15th from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.
We are planning an
interactive workshop via Teleconference for Alpena Community College and
Washtenaw Community College. You may
come to Lawrence Tech to attend the workshop for the teleconferencing. We
recommend bringing your RCX robot, IR tower, and a laptop. Agenda will be (1) Introduction to Robofest
2005 (2) Comparison of RCX code and RoboLab programming languages, and (3) RIS
RCX code programming tutorial.
To register and for
more info, send an e-mail to admin@robofest.org
We are planning a
teleconference for RoboLab programming language soon.
