Notes to Team Coaches and Teams

• Bring completed Consent and Media Release Forms for all participants, including team coaches. All participants and  team coaches must submit a release form for the World Championship.
• [NEW] Teams from Michigan Championship on April 14, 2012 do *not* need to resubmit this form.
• Only Exhibition teams need poster boards to introduce the robotics project. Other competition teams do not need a poster board.
• There is NO check-in fee thanks to sponsors!

• There will be 5 official playing fields and 5 practice fields in the gym.
• Official game fields *without official boxes* will be open for practice.
• Tie breakers: (1) Average Score (2) *Best* Time, not average (We have to use best again, since there is a chance a team gets perfect score only once. ) (3) Average of distance errors in percentage

Comments on Exhibition Teams

• Multiple groups of judges will visit your team table during the official exhibition times (see the tentative schedule above); whenever they visit, teams must do the 4 minute presentation that includes team and member introduction and demonstration. Teams must be at the table during the official exhibition time slots.
• As in the Robofest top level rule, there will be silent judges who will not identify themselves as judges. Exhibition teams must demonstrate and explain their projects to all the visitors during those official times.
• Spectators will decide People's Choice Awards

Notes to RoboFashion & Dance teams

• If your team needs the recommended plastic folding tables, please let robofest@LTU.edu know in advance.
• Bring your music file and give it to Chief Judge early

Notes to Vision Centric Robot Challenge and Hexapod Robot Sumo teams

Notes to Teams that need to stay nights in Southfield, Michigan

• We recommend these hotels that are adjacent to our campus: Comfort Suites, Southfield, MI or
  Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Southfield, (248) 350-2400 (877) 863-4780 (248) 350-8771 (Fax)
• The closest airport for you to fly into would be Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). We are approximately 20 miles from the airport. You may want to rent a car for ease in getting to and from the airport and to and from campus. The hotel is very close, but you will have robots to carry and you never know about the weather in early May, it may be rainy.

Anniversary Banquet for Visitors on May 18 at 5:30pm

• Please plan to attend the dinner to celebrate 13th anniversary on Friday, May 18th (5:30pm, Management Bld, Cafe).
• Family members of the team are also invited.
• Dress code: casual
• RSVP at ROBOFEST@LTU.edu by May 14 Noon EDT.

Notes to Spectators and/or Prospective Coaches

• Admission is free. Parking is free.
• Informational Meeting for prospective coaches, 10:30am~11:20am in the Field House. Please RSVP to robofest@LTU.edu
• There will be free raffles for spectators.
• Spectators will decide Exhibition People's Choice Award. Obtain a form to vote for your People's Choice Exhibition when checking-in, before 9:30am.
• Official Robofest T-shirts and Robofest promotional items can be purchased at the Field House.
