Robofest coach accounts have been set to browse-only (no modification) after
qualifying
competitions. You may
*not* add new team members.
Editing team information is only allowed for correction of misspelled names and updated team/robot pictures.
You must contact Tiffany Platt at robofestoffice@gmail.com by April 14 if
your team information is incorrect or to upload team/robot photos.
. All participants and coaches must submit a new Consent and
Media Release Form for the Michigan Regional Robofest.
Only Exhibition teams need poster boards to introduce the robotics project.
Other competition teams do not need a poster board.
There is no check-in fee for the Michigan Regional
Robofest event. If your team has not paid the team registration fee for your
Qualifying Competition, it must be paid at check-in at the Michigan Regional
Robofest. Credit cards are not accepted at the Michigan Regional event. Cash
or check only.
It is highly recommended to bring your own extension cords and power strips for
your laptops and battery chargers.
More on RoboPower Games
There will be 4 official playing fields and 3 practice fields.
Game teams will have more challenging layouts and Unknown Problems than
the Qualifying Competition.
Make sure the robot meets size and weight requirements.
Comments on Exhibition Teams
Multiple groups of
judges will visit your team table during the official exhibition
times (see the tentative schedule above). Whenever judges visit, teams must do
the 4 minute presentation that includes team and member introduction and
demonstration. Teams must be at the table during the above official exhibition time
slots.
As noted in the Robofest top level rules, there will be silent judges who
will not identify themselves as judges.
Exhibition teams must demonstrate and explain their projects to all the visitors
during the official times.
Spectators will decide People's Choice
Awards.
Six finalist teams will present again in front of all the audience before the award ceremony.
This presentation
may affect final
rankings.
Exhibition tables need to be moved toward the bleachers.
Notes to RoboFashion & Dance Show teams
Top two teams will perform again before the award ceremony in the gym.
This presentation may affect final rankings.
Notes to Vision Centric L2Bot Challenge teams
Any L2Bot team can practice at the Michigan Regional Robofest.

Notes to Teams that need hotel accommodations in Southfield, Michigan
LTU has reserved some rooms at
Comfort Suites, Southfield, MI,
adjacent to our campus. The special room rate only for LTU
Robofest guests is $75 plus tax per night.

Notes to Spectators
Admission is free. Parking is free.
There will be free raffles for
spectators.
Spectators will decide Exhibition People's Choice Award. Obtain a form
to vote for your People's Choice Exhibition when checking-in.
Official Robofest T-shirts and Robofest promotional items can be
purchased at the Field House.
Call News Media!!!
We need to recognize students' achievement in science and engineering
fields. Each team's achievement is remarkable and needs to be celebrated! If
you have any media contacts please call them to publicize your team's
achievements. Please call TV stations, newspapers, and other news media and
invite them to come to Michigan Robofest Championship.
Food
You may bring your own lunch or use the Concession Stand.
